During February Big Bingo, company 29 was alerted to the 29-8 box at Edgegrove Road and Church Street for a motor vehicle collsion with entrapment. Engine 29 arrived to find one vehicle off the roadway that had struck a tree with one person trapped. Air medical was requested to the scene. Rescue 29 arrived and extricated the sole occupant of the vehicle within 14 minutes who was turned over to Life Team EMS for care and then airlifted by Wellflight 2-8 to York Hospital with serious injuries. The scene was secured by fire police from company 29 and 14. Units were in service and the road was reopened within the hour.
